Hey... Sans? Could you, uh, are you awake?

[He is, as it turns out. He even sounds pretty stable and alert.]

Yeah. What's up, bro?

[That's promising. Sistina raises her voice a little, to talk over a clattering of bone, like fingers tapping back and forth.]

Something's wrong, and we're... not sure what to do. I don't... Have you seen any doubles around?

[Papyrus chimes in quietly, like he's a ways from the radio, and his tone... isn't good.]

I need you to come help. Try to... Something.

[Ah, fuck.]

Uh, yeah. I have, actually. It's been going around.

[He's displeased to hear that Papyrus is caught up in it too, but his tone remains level and focused.]

Where're you guys at? I can come right over.

[She sighs relief, like she hadn't been sure he'd agree to help - much less so quickly. The dejected mood is contagious.]

[It isn't at all cool, but his casual tone seems to be maintained regardless. It's weird how composed he feels, at the moment. It's almost unnatural. He knows exactly why that is, but he'll tell Papyrus about that part a bit later.]
