Or, at least, Sans thinks so. He loves how hard Papyrus tries be the skeleton he wants to be, and how he marches by his own drum - Papyrus is essentially Sans's metric for awesome when it comes to other people. Reminding him of Papyrus is a big compliment. Their relationship was easier back in Snowdin, but recently Sans has been able to break through a few barriers in regards to brotherly honesty, and so while things are more complicated, their mutual understanding may be at an all time high. Both of them are filled with a lot of self destructive emotions that they'd rather forget, so their roomate relationship is mostly centered around fart jokes, gross eating habits, and collecting useless garbage. Despite this, Sans finds him wishing that he could look to her for support on occasion, since she's one of the people who really understands him. Unfortunately, that would completely go against their current dynamic, so he mostly keeps those desires to himself. A lot of it goes back to the time that she abducted him after he was transformed into a cat, and it's weird how much of himself he can see in her sometimes - sometimes he's thought of her as a character foil to himself, or perhaps an evil twin. Now that she's been turned into a vampire and disappeared from the carnival, he finds himself missing something. Not from him, of course, but his appreciation for her unhampered lust for life and new experiences is deeply sincere. While he initially took interest in her mostly because of her connection to Amethyst, he worries that her excitable personality will result in her being hurt. He does his best to look out for her while keeping a respectful distance. She is easy to talk to, and still thinks he's funny despite being a generally rational person - a winning combination to be sure. She's a high priority when it comes to people to look out for, but on a personal level he mostly just likes to bask in her calm presence. He's also powerfully messed up on the inside. Of course, that doesn't mean that Sans doesn't enjoy gently tormenting him with bad jokes and his generally trollish presence from time to time. Ginko's way of being exasperated is just so entertaining that Sans can't quite help himself - it's like an addiction. Still, he considers Ginko to be a good pal and hopes the feeling is mutual. They have naturally discordant personality types, with conflicting methods of coping with emotional issues. Despite this, Psi has always attempted to go out of his way to offer Sans help when he can, which has mostly rubbed Sans the wrong way as it can come across as nosy and overly persistent. While they are capable of joking around and cooperating half the time, they are just as likely to get in a stupid fight over basically nothing. Still, they've made some movements towards understanding each other recently - but who the hell knows with these guys? He seems very interested in things like time travel and other high risk magic, which Sans is half sympathetic to and half extremely wary of. Strange is also very euro-centric in his world view, which is weird in a place where a bunch of people don't even know what England is. Sans is refraining from being arbitrarily skeptical about that claim, which also means he's pretty interested in whatever Childermass has going on in his own lane. Unfortunately, Childermass is way less likely to actually talk about his opinions or goals.
